COURSE DESCRIPTION
The Impact of Caring
This course is ideal for anyone working in a caring setting (health. education or social care) who wants to develop an understanding of the impact caring can have.
You’ll discover concepts such as burnout, compassion fatigue and vicarious trauma, and learn to recognise and manage the symptoms associated with repetitive exposure to traumatic and stressful situations. We’ll also consider resilience and how it can be developed, supported and maintained, and think about the importance of self-care and supervision.
