Life Chance Co-Founder is Finalist in the 2021 Great British Entrepreneur Awards

Co-Founder of Life Chance and School for Inspiring Talents, Mark Escott, was today recognised by the Great British Entrepreneur Awards, as he was selected as a finalist in the ‘Entrepreneur for Good’ category. The Awards received a staggering 4,800 entries this year.

Set up in 2012, The Great British Entrepreneur Awards aims to create a platform that celebrates and champions the entrepreneurs behind brilliant businesses. It was born out of a belief that entrepreneurs are as much about their story as they are their balance sheet.

Mark’s own inspiring entrepreneurial story is one of overcoming great adversity to achieve his vision to support children who have experienced trauma. His journey from a chaotic childhood, and time spent in the criminal justice system, to establishing an award-winning organisation that transforms the life chances of young people, captivated judges of the prestigious national awards.

Mark said: “I believe that it was my own difficult childhood and lack of education that proved to be the foundation for my mission to improve the services that support children who have experienced trauma. It has been an incredible journey to establish Life Chance and School for Inspiring Talents, and it is something that simply could not have been achieved without the supportive and talented team around me.

He added. “I am truly delighted and honoured to be shortlisted in the ‘Entrepreneur for Good Award’ and would also like to congratulate my fellow Award finalists.

Winners will be announced in September.
